In my inaugural episode, I speak with my brave and strong and loving mother. She talks about growing up in Eufaula, Alabama and how racism was woven into the fabric of her life. She discusses the journey of learning and unlearning and how she confronted the parts of herself that needed to evolve. I believe this is a conversation we need more of, and I know that it is an argument for the belief that without hope for change, activism and advocacy are pointless.
